A Crafty Doo-Dahs Evening

Looking for a different kind of hen do? Try a Crafty Doo-Dahs workshop!

A few weeks ago, myself and Carol had the opportunity to spend an evening in the company of some lovely ladies, some very large glasses of gin and lots of crafty bits and bobs.

We had been invited to a ‘Crafty Doo-Dahs’ workshop

Crafty Doo-Dahs offer two-hour fabulous gin and crafty workshops ideal for hen parties, birthdays, or any other special occasion! During the workshops you’ll get the chance to create a vintage fascinator, mask or embroidery keepsake.

Carol and I both chose to make fascinators, something neither of us had made before. The team at Crafty Doo-Dahs – Gemma and Delia, were the perfect hosts! With a wealth of arts and crafty knowledge between them they are on hand throughout the workshop to offer help and advice, and fab conversation.

We had a table filled with all kinds of glitter, ribbon, lace, anything and everything you would need.

At this point the group seemed to go in two very different directions… Some people (like me) took the task very serious. I’d never worn a fascinator before so my aim was to create something I could hopefully wear in the future. Other people (like Carol) had complete and utter fun with it and created some fabulously eye-catching fascinators! We were having so much fun we almost forgot about the gin!

Feathers, glitter, pompoms, ribbon and gin... a fab way to spend your hen-do! Click To Tweet

I’m not one for big nights out and being centre of attention, so for me this is a brilliant alternative to the traditional hen-do. What better way to spend an afternoon with your hens than having fun, getting really creative, learning something new… and drinking some very large glasses of gin!

These awesome workshops are based in the Baltic Triangle in the Baltic Fleet Pub’s function room. If you would like to know more about the workshops or find out more about the hosts, then pop along to their website or contact craftydoodahliverpool@gmail.com
