What’s better than live music at a wedding?! We loved the music from Live Lounge at our launch party, so we thought we’d share the love and help you learn a little more about Live Lounge and what they do…
Tell us a little bit about what it is you do…
Live Lounge is an acoustic Guitar and Vocal duo specialising in music for Wedding Ceremonies throughout the North West. Live Lounge also create a stylish, chilled out vibe with background music for the drinks ceremony or wedding breakfast.
What makes you different to other musicians?
We are experienced across a broad range of genres so with us client’s don’t have to compromise on just one style. For example, a couple could choose a Classical piece for The Procession, a musical theatre song for the signing of the Register and an original arrangement of their favourite pop song for the Recessional. If you choose to have daytime entertainment we play a wide range of repertoire from contemporary pop to Jazz – all in our own ‘Live Lounge’ style. We’re always happy to accommodate couples’ requests and ideas and add to our repertoire constantly.
What’s your favourite song to play at a wedding?
The ceremony is the most special and intimate part of any wedding. We enjoy providing something truly individual for each couple by creating unique arrangements of their favourite songs. Some of our favourites have been ‘Wings’ (Birdie) and ‘Holding On’ (Johnny Stimson)
What part of the day is most popular for live music?
Traditionally you might think of the evening reception as the time to have a band or DJ. Many couples are now choosing to have live music during their wedding ceremony and this really does add an extra bit of magic to the day. Daytime entertainment is also becoming more popular. The drinks reception following the ceremony is a great time for live music as the newly married couple are usually having their photos taken, which means leaving the guests unattended. It’s lovely to treat them to some music while they wait, something which can also make your wedding stand out from the crowd!
What’s your favourite wedding trend?
Live Lounge love a bit of Vintage! Every wedding is different though and we always enjoy seeing something new and original.
What wedding planning tip would you share with our brides and grooms?
Think about what you and your partner want and need on your wedding day and don’t feel pressured into doing things a certain way. It’s your day so do it your way!
