Where to start with your wedding stationery
Q: We have no idea where to start with stationery, are there certain things we need to think about before we speak to a stationer?
We caught up with Hannah from KNOCKKNOCKPENNY studio who creates beautifully modern wedding stationery to see what advice she had for when you’re starting to think about your wedding stationery…
I would say firstly to do a lot of research of what you like and create a Pinterest board that you can show to your wedding stationer. This way they can see what you like and can let you know the costs. From that you can work together to do it or find alternatives within your budget.
You also need to think about what parts of the stationery are important to your day. If you’re having a destination wedding you might want to have a Save the Date card to give your guests more notice. Making a list of all the parts you want in your invitation suite (e.g. Hotel room details, gift lists) can really help the planning.
As a rule invitations are normally sent out 3 months before or earlier so you need to really add another 3 months on to that to arrange your stationery. You will also need to know what date you want RSVPs back by for the caterers or your own planning.
Fab! Thanks Hannah, if you have more questions about wedding stationery or any other part of wedding planning let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org
