Flowers, Pastels and Neons in the City – Styled Shoot at The Florist

As a wedding dress boutique owner when chatting to my brides I always love to hear about all the amazing wedding venues for their big day, some in our fabulous city and some out. There’s always so much choice but the biggest thing is to choose something that reflects you and your partner as a couple. So when The Florist opened on Liverpool’s Hardman Street I thought “I have to do a bridal shoot here!” With it’s gorgeous architecture, wall murals and not to mention neon lights! I thought it was the perfect place for a stunning collaborative bridal shoot.

The Florist has amazing pretty pastel colours and feminine florals, I loved that it was mixed with the raw concrete walls and original features. On deciding on a Liverpool wedding photographer I knew it had to be Louise Griffin Photography. Having had Louise in the boutique a few months earlier chatting all things life, past, present and future! And taking amazing shots of our ex-sample and preloved designer wedding dresses her style was just perfect to bring this project to life! We put together an amazing team of talented local wedding suppliers who all brought a unique aspect to each and every photo taken on the day.

Knock Knock Penny studio created the dreamy stationery, Hannah said “I wanted to keep it simple as the venue is so eclectic. White with Gold Foil to add that special touch and a leaf print wax stamp to compliment the leafy florals. This marbled wax gave it a fresh and modern look.”

For the bridal dress I wanted to create something soft, romantic and elegant. I chose a beaded keyhole gown by Modeca which our model Kim absolutely rocked! The beadwork on the gown was simply stunning and added some depth and texture to the over all look. Charlotte who designed the bridal hair brought along some accessories which can be rented out, they worked amazingly with our full length soft tulle veil which created my absolute favourite look of the shoot!

Laura-Louise Makeup Artist created both a soft look and something a little bolder for an evening look. I’ve always loved Kim with a smokey and bold lip, which was perfect against the soft floral background.

A lot of us couldn’t believe the chemistry between our models who by the way aren’t a real couple and had never met before the day! They were absolutely amazing and just oozed romance, exactly what we were looking to create. Thanks guys!

The bridal bouquets were created by Michelle Anne Floristry who I’m super excited to say will be creating gorgeous flowers for my big day in August! I’d always loved Michelle’s relaxed style with her floral creations being super elegant, modern and stylish.
