Grooms, this one’s for you – Unique menswear by Bunny Bosworth

Brides have an amazing amount of choice when shopping for their wedding look. But grooms seem to have a harder time. There doesn’t seem to be the same wide variety of unique grooms wear options, especially locally.

So when we came across Bunny Bosworth, we were super excited!

Not only does Natalie make a gorgeous range of tassel and knotted fabric jewellery. But she makes the most beautiful menswear accessories – pocket squares, ties and bow ties – the perfect way to finish off your wedding day look.

We caught up with Natalie to learn a little bit more…

I’ve been designing and making jewellery and accessories since 2011 when I opened my Etsy shop, but it wasn’t until early 2017 that I strayed into menswear by chance and I haven’t looked back! As a member of the Merseyside Etsy Team I took part in the first-ever wedding fair at the Williamson Art Gallery and Museum in Oxton, and having selected the suppliers for our section of the event I realised we didn’t have anyone selling groom and groomsmen supplies, so I thought I’d try to fill the gap. I even had an order from one of the couples I met that day which felt like a great success for me as a first time wedding supplier!

Since then I’ve been offering made to order groom and groomsmen accessories through my Etsy store, focusing specifically on neckties, bow ties and pocket squares, either in sets or as standalone items. I work with Liberty of London tana lawn fabrics as I love the variety of colours and prints that they produce. It’s so easy to mix and match designs across your wedding party and still look cohesive, and there’s something to suit everyone, from understated ditsy prints to traditional heritage patterns or colourful tropical florals.

Accessories can be ordered in any combination to suit your entire wedding party; not everyone is comfortable in a bow tie, and if they are they might prefer it pre-tied for convenience. Some people may want to just have a colourful pocket square to complement their own solid colour necktie, and when it comes to neckties I offer a choice of narrow or standard widths, and for the taller gent there’s an option for extra length too.

In addition to the standard range, I’m always happy to add-on any other items that might be requested, especially page boy bow ties and neckties, and in the past I’ve created cummerbunds, dog bow ties, a baby bib, flower girl hair bows, baby headbands and even cat bow ties!

I originally trained in theatre costume and was always drawn to the period menswear, putting together suits and finding cravats and bow ties to set off the colours and reflect a character, which definitely feeds into the work I do now. What I love about creating wedding accessories is discussing the colours and inspiration with the bride and groom and suggesting prints, patterns and styles that might work for their wedding. I keep a stock range of fabrics choices in my shop that can be ordered individually or in custom sets, but I always like to meet couples who are looking for something completely unique to them.

We just love them! Head over to Natalie’s Instagram or Etsy to see more.
