Wedding Dresses – Celebrating Liverpool Women in business for International Women’s day 2019

This week at The Liverpool Wedding Blog we’re celebrating International Women’s day. As the blog is run by 3 independent female run businesses we thought we’d give a shout out to some of the other Merseyside based female lead Wedding businesses we’ve had the pleasure of meeting over the last few year

Today I’d like to give a shout out to something every bride dreams about….. the wedding dress!

As an owner of Bridal Reloved Liverpool over the last almost 3 years, I’ve come across so many amazing local bridal shops passionate about what they do. I run Bridal Reloved Liverpool on my own day to day doing everything from ordering stock, accounts, cleaning and making tea! So I can appreciate just how hard each one of these ladies works to make your bridal dreams a reality!

First up is Clare from Clare Suzanne Bridal in Allerton. I met Clare at a wedding fayre end of last year and we had a great chin wag about all things bridal! We’ve kept in touch by social media and phone and I’m always admiring her stunning collection of dresses!

A few words from Clare “I decided to open this boutique as I’ve always wanted to work in a more intimate, private setting, where I would have the opportunity to offer VIP treatment and make the choosing of your bridal dress the celebratory experience it could be. I am aware that it is a privilege to be part of this very special occasion in your life and I will do everything I can to ensure I provide a professional service that is fun and pleasurable from the first moment to the last.”

Next, we have Jacky Doyle from Sixpenny Bride. I met Jacky briefly last month at The Liverpool Wedding Blogs first supplier networking event and she just lit up the room! All the items you see in Jacky’s shop are antique, vintage or handmade by herself giving bridal wear something unique.
Jacky says “All the wedding dresses and accessories you see are authentic vintage or antique – not retro/reproductions so will have some history, but are nonetheless beautiful, clean and completely wearable.”

Next is the fabulous Lin and Steph from Liverpool Bridal Boutique. The girls are so dedicated to their brides and are an absolute pleasure to chat with. They recently had some devestating damage to their store but the girls came back bigger and better not letting it get them down which really shows the essense of international women’s day and girl power!

Words from the girls “Steph and I (Lin) have always had a close relationship as cousins, and have one passion in common, Weddings! Ask us about anything to do with a wedding day and between us we should know the answer. We just adore that for one day, the most special day of your life, you can wear the most beautiful gown and make your dreams a reality.”

Bridal Reloved Liverpool

Last but not least, myself! I’m Carol, owner of Bridal Reloved Liverpool. I’ll be celebrating 3 years in business this June and I have to say it’s come around quick! As I run the business day to day on my own it can get quite lonely, but over this last 3 years putting myself outside my comfort zone to meet other women in business it’s really helped. Being able to chat with people on the same wave length and that have the same passions as you is amazing, having met so many women within the same industry who are open and friendly has been inspiring.

I specialise is ex-sample, preloved and new designer wedding dresses with my main goal being able to give the bride an amazing experience, stunning designer dress and advice while staying budget savvy. It’s been an absolute pleasure to be part of so many brides wedding dress shopping, getting to share the moment they say yes to the dress is just amazing!

Every day this week we are celebrating amazing women who run all sorts of wedding businesses in Liverpool – from Makeup artists to photographers and everything in between. Do you know any amazing female-led business that deserves a shout out? Let us know in the comments.

International Women’s Day is on Friday 8th March. Happy International Women’s Day 2019!
